Day 01: Kathmandu – Lukla, and trek to Phakding (2,562m, 35 min flight, 8 km, 3-4 hrs)
Your first day in the Everest region will be a very memorable one. Today you will be waking up early to catch your flight to Lukla. Your respective representative will pick you up from the hotel and drop you off at the airport.
Boarding the flight, you soar into the sky beginning your 10 days Everest Base Camp trek. Viewing wonderful scenarios of valleys, landscapes, and peaks you arrive at Lukla. A well-known place for having one of the thrilling airports in the world.
Lukla lies about 1000 m higher than Phakding at an altitude of 2850 m. After landing at the airport, you have your breakfast and head out of the town. Making a downhill climb and Following the Dudh Koshi river, you cross a suspension bridge over it.
Then make an uphill climb in the trails till you reach Ghat (2530 m). From here, you again make a descent till the Dudh Koshi River and cross it. Then walking along the bank of the river, you make a slight climb and arrive at Phakding.

In particular, today you will be trekking to Namche Bazaar from Phakding. After having your breakfast, you pack your bags and begin your adventure. Afterward, heading out of the small town, you walk in a crisscross forest path of pines.
You continue walking the route that goes to the Benkar valley in the north. Moreover, after walking for some time you reach the Dudh Koshi River and cross it using a suspension bridge.
From here, you will pass several Sherpa settlements like Benker, Chumoa, and Monjo. Continuing in this path leads you into the Sagarmatha National Park. Similarly, you will register your trekking permits at the checkpoint in Monjo.
Then moving ahead in the trials, you cross the famous Hillary suspension bridge and head towards Jorsale village. From this village, you make a slight ascent in the trails and walk alongside the Dudh Koshi River.

Today you will be trekking towards Tengboche from Namche Bazaar. This day you begin your journey by making a steep climb towards the valley above the Dudh Koshi river.
If the weather is clear you can get an unobstructed glimpse of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Continue walking the trail, you walk past small Sherpa villages and tea shops.
Enter a pine forest home for the musk deer and Himalayan tar and make descent till the river. Similarly, you then cross through a suspension bridge decorated with prayer flags above the Dudh Koshi River.
Then reach Phunki Tenga, have your lunch here, and again continue your journey making a steep climb. After that following the zigzag trails through rhododendron forests you arrive at your destination.
In fact, Tengboche village is well known for its important Buddhist monastery, Tengboche Monastery. Also, this is the largest gompa in the Khumbu region built-in 1923. And it has a 20 feet sculpture of Buddha inside it.

Day 04: Tengboche – Dingboche (4,360m, 5-6 hrs, 8km)
Today you wake up early and visit the monastery to participate in the morning prayers. Also, the view of the peaks looks awesome in the backdrop of the monastery. In fact, after returning from your visit, you have your breakfast and begin your trek to Dingboche.
Similarly, the trek starts by making a descent through the beautiful forests of rhododendron till Debuche. Likewise, a beautiful scattered stone village with a long Mani wall, chortens, and nunnery.

You again make a steep climb passing many stone cairns built in the memories of Sherpa who passed away in the Everest Expedition. Then gently walking along the glacier slope arrive at Lobuche.
This village offers some of the most breathtaking views of mountains like Lhotse, Everest, Imja Tse, etc. It also has a high-altitude research center which helps to communicate in the rescue operation.
Day 06: Lobuche – Gorakshep (5,160m) – Everest Base Camp (5,364m) Gorakshep (7-8 hrs, 15 km)
Finally the day you have been waiting for has arrived. Today, you will be trekking to the major highlight of this trek Everest Base Camp. Before that, you will be heading towards Gorak Shep from Lobuche
Waking up early, you leave the village just in time to view the sun reach the summit of the Himalayas. Then make a steep climb in the rocky path along the Khumbu Glaciers before reaching Gorakshep.
Arriving here, you have your lunch and begin your trek to Everest Base Camp. Making several steep climbs you reach your destination after a 2 to 2.5-hour walk.

Day 07: Gorakshep – Kala Patthar (5,545m) – Pheriche (4,280m, 15km, 7-8 hrs)

Waking up early, you make the 2 hours climb to reach Kala Patthar. Similarly, this viewpoint is popular for viewing sunrise and the close-up view of Mount Everest. Also, the scenario looks awesome as the sun rises with golden light behind the peaks.

Again crossing the suspension bridge, you walk past forests of rhododendron and pines. Also, viewing the stunning scenarios of magnificent peaks and crossing several chortens, mani walls, stupas, and prayer flags you reach Namche.
