Detailed Itinerary for 5 Days Everest Trek
Day 01: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and Trek to Phakding
Max. Altitude: Lukla (2,843m); Phakding (2660m)
Trek Duration: 3 Hours
Trek Distance: 8 km

Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is the adventurous part of your trek. Lukla has the tiny 527 meters of a runaway at an altitude of 2843m. Yet, this 40-minute ride will take you to a delightful tour within snow-clad mountains. Upon reaching Lukla, your trekking starts officially. Lukla is a fabulous market of the Everest Region with quaint villages, monasteries, chortens, and numerous hotels.

Food and Accommodation
There are countless teahouses and lodges along the route. Thus, there is not a problem of staying at a fixed spot. You can walk as much as you can. Whenever you want to stop, you will find a teahouse around.
The teahouses have single and double rooms with shared toilets and shower rooms. Regarding the charge, it might vary from place to place.
