When you trek to the Everest Base Camp, it is necessary to take the right clothes and trekking gears with you. The clothes and gears you should take depend upon the climatic and weather situation of the place. Here are some of the things you should pack as a female trekker.

Sports Bras

Comfortable bras are very important especially when you are trekking to a higher altitude. You can use your regular bras while resting. But, when you trek it is necessary that you wear a sports bra. You will sweat a lot like an athlete when you trek to Everest Base Camp. So it would be best to carry a sports bra which has proper sweat absorbent material that will keep you dry and comfortable while you trek.

Down Jacket

Down Jacket is a must especially when you are trekking to Everest Base Camp in the cold season (November- December). You will experience extreme cold in the higher altitude during the winter season.

The mornings and evenings in the Everest region can get extremely cold. Therefore, it is necessary to bring a couple of down jackets which you keep you warm when you have to leave in the early morning for trekking.

Diamox Tablets

Diamox tablets are preventive drugs for altitude sickness. It helps to prevent the symptoms of altitude sickness such as headache and dizziness. You may find some health posts along the route to Everest Base Camp. But, it is better if you pack Diamox tables before you leave for trekking.

Water Purifier

Water purifier is very important especially when trekking. While trekking you may have to fetch water from the natural sources such as rivers, lakes, and waterfalls. Such water may not be suitable to drink. So, it is best to bring a water purifier which will make the water safe for drinking.

You may find some shops selling mineral water but they are quite expensive. So it is better to bring your own water bottle and water purifier.

Tampons and sanitary napkins are very necessary for a female trekker. You should carry them if you are going to have periods during the time of trekking. They might not be easily available on the route.

Moisturizer for Face and Body

It is necessary to moisturize your body, especially in the winter season. If you are trekking to the Everest base camp in winter, your skin will get dry easily. So, it is best to carry a moisturizer for your face and body.

Things That You Shouldn’t Miss While Trekking to Everest Base Camp

There may not be ATM machines along the route to Everest Base Camp. So, it would be better to bring cash when traveling. Carry some Nepali currency with you to pay for your expenses as you leave for trekking.
