Kanchenjunga trekking:  Less crowded treks in Nepal

Kanchenjunga trekking is one of the less crowded trekking trail of Nepal. Mt. Kanchenjunga lies near to the border with Sikkim (India) which is eastern side of Nepal, Mt Kanchenjunga is the 3rd highest mountain which is 8586 meters high. Special restricted permit is needed to trek on this trail. Minimum size of the trekkers is two to trek Kanchenjunga trekking and must hire a local guide / porter for this trek.

Kanchenjunga trek Normally start from Taplejung, the best way to be in Taplejung is flying to Bhadrapur or Biratnagar  ( less than one hours flight ) and take a road transport to Taplejung which can takes more or less 10 hours.

Kanchenjunga trekking is a remarkable journey into the Himalayas on Nepal where The peaks are noticeable in the distance for days, floating like ships on a distant sea. Trekking trails does not get any better than Kanchenjunga trekking trail for the adventure lovers.

Rolwaling trekking: Less crowded treks in Nepal

Rolwalling trekking is one of the less visited trekking trail of Nepal. Rolwaling trekking offers exceptional view of Himalayas, gorgeous and rarely frequented valley below a sequence of some 50 peaks over 6000m. It is capped by the double peaks of Gaurishankar (7,145m/23,475ft) on the border and the peaks of Melungtse one (7181m) and Two (7023m) in Tibet.

Rolwaling trek covers several small villages, The villege  Beding is fed by the Rolwaling River and its frequent offshoots. In 2010 this area was declared a conservation area, Named Gaurishankar Conservation Area.

Between comprehensive edges and river crossings to link picturesque Chhetri, Sherpa and Tamang villages. There are many suspension bridges across imposing valleys that shorten the climbs. Rolwaling trekking trail pass through colorful rhododendron, oak and pine forests spread with terraced fields around the villages.) The highest point on the trek is the Teshi Lapche La (5755m) pass on the slopes of Patchermo peak which is  one of the  highest trekking passes and rises in a glaciated wilderness set amongst snowy peaks including Tengi Ragi Tau (6943m), Bisphero Go Shar (6729m) and Dragkar (6793m).

The descent to the campsite is steep and some 300m below the pass.  it descends easily into the Solu Khumbu to join the ancient caravan route from Tibet that leads to the flats via Namche Bazaar. Trekkers aslo continue their treks for doing Everest base camp trek from Namche or back to Lukla for fly back to Kathmandu.

Upper Dolpa trekking. Less crowded treks in Nepal

 

Upper Dolpo Trekking is one of the remote trekking route of Nepal as well as less croded trek of Nepal , due to its distance and permit this trek route is bit expensive compare to other trekking trails, the trekking route of Upper Dolpo is a remote and pristine area which is near by the Tibetan border of Nepal.

The Trek begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj about 45 minutes and next morning flight ends at Jhupal,

Dhaulagiri trekking: Less crowded treks in Nepal

Dhaulagari Trekking is also one of the less crowed treks of Nepal as well as it is one of the most challenges treks of Nepal.

Manaslu trekking: Less crowded treks in Nepal

 

Let’s talk about Manaslu trek either it is less crowded trekking routes or it is similar crowed as Annapurna and Everest. Since few years Manaslu trekking route is getting more and more popular, we can count few reason easily here.

  1. As Annapurna circuit trek is getting shorter every year due to road construction, trekkers are looking for an option of Annapurna Circuit which was world most popular circuit trek of Himalaya.
  2. The highest point of Manaslu trekking ‘Larkya La Pass’ 5213 M. which is extensively supposed to be one of the most dramatic pass crossing the Nepal  Himalayas.

3. Less crowed circuit trekking trail compare to Annapurna circuit.

  1. Manaslu Circuit trekking trail has many other trekking trail option like Nar-Phu and Tshum Valley trekking.
  2. Wilderness of undiscovered typical trekking with outstanding Mountain View from Lho to Bhimthang village where trekkers touch like an additional paradise of heaven
  3. No camping arrangement is requiring nowadays since basic teahouses and lodges were built and foods are available during the trek.

Manaslu trekking still needs a special trekking permit to trek this route and need to be two in group size to trek. Trekkers need to join the reliable government authorized trekking company and need to hire a local staff for Manaslu trekking. In earlier days we can drive until Arughat but the rough road has been built till Soti khola, so local transport will be available to Soti khola from Arughat Bazar.

At the end we still can say that Manaslu trekking is less crowed compare to Everest trekking trails and Annapurna trekking trails.

Mardi Himal trek: Less crowded treks in Nepal

Mardi Himal trek was open on 2012. Which is located just east of the Annapurna Base Camp trek. Mardi Himal trek is an hidden gem yet. Mardi Himal Base Camp exceptionally located at the base of Mardi Himal and the Annapurna region´s most iconic mount Machapuchhre ( Fish tail”)

Through enchanted rhododendron forests until we trek up hill  of the forest at an elevation around 3,300 meter. The scenery vicissitudes quite brusquely into a rocky high mountain landscape, with amazing views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchre, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.

Mid Sept-October – November is Autumn Season and March – May is the second best season of year to do the Mardi Himal trekking.
