Completing 177 kilometers in 17 days, you will cover 15 to 20 kilometers distance in a day. However, this is not constant for all days. Some days are long while some are short. - Day 04: Soti Khola to Machha Khola (900m)
- Day 05: Machha Khola to Jagat (1410m)
- Day 06: Jagat to Deng (1920m)
- Day 07: Deng to Namrung (2700m)
- Day 08: Namrung to Lho (3180m)
- Day 09: Lho to Sama Gaun (3530m)
- Day 10: Acclimatization day at Sama Gaun, hike to Manaslu Base Camp and return.

Day to Day Trekking Distance During Manaslu Circuit Trek
Distance from Kathmandu to Soti Khola
Total Distance: 141.3 km
Driving Time: 8 to 10 hours
We will drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola via Pokhara. On the way, we will see Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, and Mt. Manaslu. We will stay overnight at Sotikhola.
Distance from Soti Khola to MachhaKhola
Total Distance: 14 km
Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours
We will climb a ridge over the Budi Gandaki river valley. We will make our walk through Khorsane into Labubesi village. From there, we will walk to Maccha Khola. Overnight there.
Distance from MachhaKhola to Jagat
Total Distance: 22 km
Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours
We will cross the Tharo Khola and will walk to Kharlo Besi. From there, we will walk to Tatopani. Walking further, we will cross suspension bridges and make our way towards Thado Bharyang. From there, the trail moves towards Jagat. Overnight in Jagat.
Distance from Jagat to Deng
Total Distance: 19.9 km
Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours
We will enter the Manaslu Conservation Area. Walking through the dense forests, we will trek towards Salleri, then to Philip. We will walk for hours before we reach Deng Khola. Walking across the river, we will reach Deng. Overnight there.
Distance from Deng to Namrung
Total Distance: 19.5 km
Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours
The adventurous trekking trail today will lead us from Deng to Namrung via the beautiful Prok village. We will walk through dense forests of Manaslu conservation areas, we will reach Namrung. Overnight there.
Distance from Namrung to Samagaon
Total Distance: 17.7 km
Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours
Today, we will cross the Laha pass and will trek to Samagaon. Samagaon is a beautiful village with amazing views of Mt. Manaslu. Overnight at Samagaon.
Distance from Samagaon to Samdo
Total Distance: 16.4 km
Trekking Duration: 4 to 5 hours
Today, we will be trekking over the amazing trekking trails to reach Samdo. We will cross the Budi Gandaki river and will walk several steep uphill and downhills. Overnight in Samdo.
Distance from Samdo to Dharamsala
Total Distance: 12 km
Trekking Duration: 4 to 5 hours
It’s a tough day today. We will walk through the Larkya Bazaar and will ascend up through Larkya glacier to Dharamsala. Overnight in Dharamsala.
Distance from Dharamsala to Bimthang via Larkya La pass
Total Distance: 24.7 km
Trekking Duration: 7 to 9 hours
It is probably the longest day on the trek. Walking along the rivers, crossing the rivers over bridges, rejoicing the surrounding vistas are really exciting. We will walk through the awesome trekking trails to the small village across Larkya La glacier. Enjoy the striking Himalayan views from there. We will cross the glacier. Astonishing views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and Annapurna II will appear right in front of your eyes.
Distance from Bimthang to Tilije
Total Distance: 16 km
Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours
You will see Mt. Manaslu so close. ALong with Manaslu, we will see several other mountains towering to touch the sky. From Bimthang, we will descend to Dudh Koshi River. Walking across the village of Gho, we will reach Tilije. Overnight there.
Distance from Tilije to Tal
Total Distance: 11.3 km
Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours
We will start from Tilije crossing a ridge over a stream. Making our way through the village of Thanje, we will cross over the Marsyangdi Khola before reaching Tal. We will stop for overnight at Tal.
Distance from Tal to Syange
Total Distance: 12.9 km
Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours
Walking down through Chyange gaon, we will walk towards Syange. The trail passes through amazing forests of pine and juniper. After several hours of walking through amazing trails, we will reach Syange. Overnight there.
Distance from Syange to Kathmandu
Total Distance: 201 km
Driving Duration: 3 to 5 hours
Finally, the day has arrived when we will drive back to Kathmandu. From Sanje, we will drive to Besi Sahar and then to Kathmandu. Enjoy the wonderful ride.
Manaslu Circuit Trek Altitude Profile
We will start from Kathmandu, 1300 meters. The trek starts with a drive to Arughat, 570 meters. Now, we will gain altitudes gradually as we trek to Soti Khola (730m), Machha Khola (930m), Jagat (1370m), Philim ( 1570m), Deng (1540m), Ghap (2165m), Lho (3180m), Samagaon (3517m), Samdo (3860), Dharmasala (4450m), and finally to Larkya la, (5125m).
From there, the altitude drops towards Tilje (2300m), Chyamje (1390m), Bulbule (840m), and to Kathmandu.
Some Tips on Manaslu Trek Distance
- Practice some hikes to the hills near you. This will help you practise walking, hiking, and trekking as well.
- If you have knee problems, bring a knee cap. They are really helpful while walking for long hours over the uneven terrains.
- Prepare a strong mindset before you go. There is nothing to feel exhausted about in the middle of trekking. Be calm and col while you trek.
