Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1550 m) by jeep
Today, we shall commence our journey to Syabrubesi starting point of the tour of the Langtang valley trek. The journey starts after your departure from the hotel. A private vehicle will be waiting outside the hotel premises for your services. The jeep ride takes you to the northern side away from Kathmandu towards the exciting countryside of Nepal.
The 8-hour journey takes you to the scenic foothills on narrow bends alongside the ridgeline vistas. You will experience the scenic mountain views and country settlements on your journey to Syabrubesi, After the exotic jeep ride on gravel roads, you finally arrive at the guest house. The journey ends today at the guest house for today. You enjoy a warm meal from the locals and spent the night here.
Day 2: Syabrubesi Trek to Lama Hotel – 2350 m
Today, after a delicate breakfast with astonishing views of the sunrise. You shall commence a 6 hours trek towards Lama Hotel. The trek ahead is rather easy and you can enjoy most of the Langtang region. As the trail heads towards Syabru, you will come across stunning glaciers, alpine forests and beautiful villages.
On today’s trek, the first half of the hike is the hardest. As you walk towards a steep incline up the mountain, the walk will certainly get the best of you. However, the trails shall shortly descend towards Ghopche Khola (2050m). The hike gets easier from here as you gently ascend to Rimche (1810m).
The trail winds along the river valley offering you stunning views of the snow-capped mountains. As you proceed on the trail, you might even catch glimpses of mountain bears and red pandas. After the 6 hours trek from Syabru gaon, you finally reach your destination at Lama Hotel(2470m). After you arrive at the lodge, you will be rest for the night at the hotel.
Day 03: Lama Hotel(2470m) to Langtang (3430m)
Today, we shall start our expedition from Lama Hotel to Langtang village via Ghore tabela. The trek leads you to a decent climb over the ridge with occasional glimpses of Langtang Lirung. After a short hike, you emerge Ghora tabela at 3000m. As you proceed with the expedition, you will come across a military post and local inhabitants of the region. Shortly, the trail shall widen through a monastery before your arrival at the Langtang village. The 6 hours hike finally comes to an end at the guest house at Langtang(3430m). You will enjoy meals prepared with locally grown potatoes, barley, wheat, and turnips. After an elegant meal with your team, you spend the night at the guest house.
Day 04: Langtang (3430m) to Kyanjing Gumpa(3870m).,
The trek to Kyanjing Gumpa takes about 3 hours. You shall enjoy the sunrise and breakfast at your hotel. Shortly after, you will start your hike towards a gradual incline towards yak pasture and small villages. After crossing several small moraines and streams you shall reach a small monastery. As today’s hike is rather short, you will arrive at Kyangjing at lunchtime.
Day 05: Hike to langtang glacier, or hike to Kyanjin Ri. Explore the Langtang
At the guest house, you will enjoy your lunch with plenty of time to acclimatize. Also, you can commence a short 1 hour hike to langtang glacier or Kyanjin Ri to enjoy the panoramic view of Langtang Ri 6370m, Dorje Larpa 6990 m, and Langtang Lirung 7245m. You shall spend the night at a local guest at Kynagjing.
Day 06: Return to Kathmandu (1400m) By Helicopter.
Today is one of the most adventurous parts of the entire journey. A private helicopter shall arrive at the pick-up station at Kyanjin Gompa. Along with your expedition team, you shall board the helicopter for a scenic flight to Kathmandu (1400 meters). The scenic flight lasts for 1 hour as you witness the striking snowy mountains of the Himalayas. We will transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu, Trip END.
Optional: Helicopter Pickup from Kyanjing Gompa (3870m) to Gosaikunda Lake (4,380m), Explore GosaiKunda
Note: You also have the option of traveling to Gosaikunda. It is one of the holiest religious sites of Hindus. So, it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to witness the mythological attributes of Gosaikunda. The excursion, however, lasts for 45 minutes as staying over for a prolonged time may invite altitude sickness. This excursion to Gosaikunda will cost an additional 700 US$.
