The world peace pagoda is another one of the popular destinations in Pokhara. It lies nearly 1000 meters above sea level. Most tourists take a taxi or private vehicle and climb for about 20 minutes to reach the pagoda. Some travelers hike to the top from Damside.
Cycling is another way to reach the top. I suggest you visit the peace pagoda in the morning. Leave the stunning city of Pokhara behind and peddle away towards the peace pagoda. Cycle through the main road and pass Gupteswor Mahadev (a famous Hindu temple). On the way, you will see Davis falls, another renowned destination while you are in Pokhara.
After some uphill ride and sweaty experience, you’ll reach the world peace pagoda. The white structure sitting on top of a hill is an extraordinary sight.
The panoramic view of mountain range takes your breath away. You can view the Annapurna range and Dhaulagiri range as well.
You can see the whole Pokhara valley, Fewa Lake, and the outstanding Sarangkot from the top.
Ride downhill and take your time in exploring other amazing destinations. You can take your bike to the villages around or take another route down towards the dam side.
